UT vs LSU
Tonight I've been experiencing some rather tragic technological difficulties on the manual settings of my Nikon, which makes me all sad panda on the inside. However, hopefully my issues will be resolved by an expert or a new camera in the near future. The technological difficulties resulted in a fairly frustrating evening at the UT vs LSU Men's basketball game, but I did manage to get a few photos I'm not totally ashamed of...

Ice Skating
Henna is quite possibly one of the cutest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. However, ice skating is not one of her stronger suits. A large group of architecture kids and a hodgepodge of other UT students went out for ice skating, dinner and games tonight. Henna, who was initially excited about her first ice skating experience, soon developed an abhorrence for both her ice skating shoes and ice in general and bore an expression similar to the one below for the duration evening. Well Well Well
2011 and I have been getting along smashingly during our first few weeks together and I'm optimistic about that being a consistent trend. Here are a few photos!
Wesley Baldwin on the cello. What a beautiful concert this was.
Like most of the south, Knoxville got hit by a pretty intense intense storm last week. Unlike almost everyone, we definitely stayed in school for the duration of it. Getting around campus was interesting at best (okay, yes, there's a possibility I'm just a whiny Memphis girl and the ice wasn't that bad), but I think it's a preeeeetty small possibility. My butt is still sore from slipping on ice and that's all I have to say about that ;-)

2010: Slightly Belated Retrospective
As I'm sure you've all observed, regardless of the cool places you go, your accomplishments, or the shiny cool things you buy, the success of not just any year - but any EXISTENCE is determined by the people with whom you shared your time with. I've been blessed to have spent 2010 in the company of truly excellent family and friends. Which is why my New Years resolution this year is to make sure I spend more time in 2011 photographing the people I care about rather than, say, UT athletes and flowers :-)
Here are a handful of moments in 2010 that I actually remembered to photograph...
This is my Hendog!
Christmas Day with the fam
Cole!
Photo taken at the Smiths lake house, where the majority of my most excellently dangerous and giggletastic summer memories derive from. (Spaghetti rock, squash, chiggers, 4th of July suicidal tube ride, that time Amy fell down the waterfall, that time Chris lost his shorts in the water, Dead Fred, more chiggers). It's a travesty that this is one of the only pictures I have of this magical land this year since it's really quite a dull photo... *sigh*
I spent a good bit of time with this girl this year.... can't seem to shake her off... (forgive the self-portraiture)
Justin and Blue sleeping on the couch. (Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww)
James and I waiting for John to arrive with a few games of Jenga
YESSSSSSS SPICY CHICKEN SANDWICH (haha)
GoodNESS that was a long drive to San Antonio
Bus on the way to the Harry Potter premiere :-)
